You may be asking what can I do to help my loved one?

The following information is provided as a resource. Connecticut Region of Narcotics Anonymous is not affiliated with any outside organization or institution, nor do we endorse any organizations, institutions, or programs.

If your loved one is in a crisis situation, needs to get into a detox or drug program, you can find resources at infoline: www.infoline.org
You can call infoline toll free from anywhere in Connecticut at 2-1-1 anytime day or night.

If your loved one wants help, they can call the
Connecticut Region of Narcotics Anonymous phone line at 1 (800) 627-3543
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Unfortunately, if your loved one does not want help, we cannot do anything until they want to stop using.

Nar-Anon is a support group available for family members and friends of addicts.

Nar-Anon describes itself in this way, "The Nar-Anon Family Group is for those who know or have known a feeling of desperation due to the addiction problem of someone close to them. Nar-Anon members share their experiences, strength, and hope at weekly meetings."

Family and loved ones of addicts can also attend any open NA meetings. Only addicts may attend closed meetings. Closed meetings are indicated by a C in the meeting schedule key. All meetings without the C in the meeting key are open meetings.
